Are companies allowed to subsidise lunch for Jobbridge workers?

I know they're not allowed pay you (as if they would..) but are they allowed subsidise your lunch, if that is their policy for employees?

You get an extra €50 a week but if you have to pay for 5 lunches on top of 10+ buses per week you're actually going to be on less money than if you sat on your hole doing nothing. What a twisted system.

You are not on less money. If you sat on your hole, you should be on zero. With jobbridge you are on 230.

Depending on age and circumstances he/she would be on €188 PW if they weren't on jobbridge

Yes. On the basis you are looking for a job.

The foundation of welfare is that you present yourself as having no job, no income. What is fantastic here with this scheme is that here's a job for you.

188 isn't your base level. Zero is your base level. The difference is that you now work for your 188, as you were always supposed to should the opportunity come along.

If the subsidized lunch is in work canteen then no problem. Would be an issue if they were giving you money for lunch.

    That's incorrect ,

But been this is more of an advice forum rather than a policy discussion forum I'll leave it there
