Hi I recently got a letter through the door saying I'm scheduled to attend a group information session with other jobseekers. I'm just wondering what to expect from this meeting as (no offense to other jobseekers) I'm just concerned if I'm to be giving out private information in front other other people. Thank you.

You have nothing to worry about. You can expect a powerpoint presentation lasting for around 20-30minutes. I think you will be given a one to one appointment date before you leave.

They become more aggressive in the one to one meetings .The case officer told me she has to put down something .
I agreed to do manual handling and a safe pass which are 1 day courses to keep her happy. The case officer suggested I apply for a carers allowance for my Aunt who I look after. Good idea but she is in hospital at present., When I called for information about it the girl told me many were applying to avoid courses. You have a 390 euro allowance to do the courses after you pay !! I am 59 the chance of a job is very slim .I am not sure what will happen in my case . I did hear of a man 65 sent on a CE scheme but he was unemployed 11 years.
