    Mr Dean Westmitt

    Westmitt Warehouse Ltd

    90-93 Marlborough Street
    Dublin

    E-mail : westmittdean@gmail.com "

    Thats the email their,

I applied for this job off a reputable job site in the UK, its a uk job site but I was looking for jobs in dublin and it linked me too this site.

So the things that stood out for me where

    1. The position was offered too me before any interview
    2. All based in pounds, 11pound? for someone with no experience in warehouse?
    3. Normally if your offered a job (Which never happens by email) they could of at least said my name in the email saying " ____ we are delighted to offer you____ position"
Instead the email is not personal it seems like it was sent out like a spam bot
    4. UKASH? never heard of it, if it is available, I don't believe these vouchers can be got in Republic of Ireland, and yet they linked me too a site where I can find a shop selling them in the UK!!! so why would a company ask me to get vouchers from a UK shop when the job is suppose to be based in Dublin
    5. I tried searching for the company, which is apparently called " Westmitt Warehouse LTD " found nothing, tried finding anything relating too this email, their are no scam alarts or anything.
    6. I looked up the address they gave at the end of the email, on google street it shows only a hair salon :L

so theirs my reasons but maybe I'm paranoid.
Like I said this came from a site which advertises jobs daily, so too see this happen is quite dishearting when searching for work.

Hey i got the same email as above, I knew it was a scam for the same reasons you explained. but i was so angry with them. taking advantage of people struggling to get work. I rang the social welfare and garda vetting unit etc.

but no one seemed to care they just said "ye that sounds like a scam"

there are people out there so desperate that theyd take a chance with this. its really pushed me more deeply into the "im never gonna find a job" zone.

Glad you didnt fall for their scam either

Yep pretty sure its a scam and a pretty lowlife one at that.

Personally I wouldn't have replied - if you reply then they know that there is someone receiving and maybe try something different next time.

How much does a CRB check cost anyway?

should they be free? if your going for a job a crb is basicly a garda vetting, if theirs any cost, the company should be paying for it imo :/

It has been quite a while since we used ££££ in Ireland. Lazy fookers wouldn't even adapt their UK scam mail.

Sadly you've been burned and can forget about being refunded as the voucher has been used, UKash don't give refunds for stupidity or naivety. Chalk it down as an expensive lesson.

A little harsh, but very accurate.

OP - you'll know better next time....

Another things... don't reply to these people.

When they send the e-mail they are using a massive list of e-mail addresses. They don't know which ones are real or bogus.

By replying you are confirming your e-mail address is real and are increasing the chances of you receiving future scam/spam e-mail.
