Decent buy?

Hey, usually a browser of other forums on boards, people here can be pretty helpful so here goes my first post. I'm very close to purchasing this machine but with a couple of added extras (120gb ssd) and wireless adapter taking the total cloers to £800. That will leave me with £200 to try and pick up a decent monitor, keyboard, xbox controllers, speakers (ebay will be my friend here hopefully).

Its just I've done very little looking around, only started this morning but i do need it sooner rather than later (for work). Looking for assurances that this is a reasonably decent offer and I'm not missing out on other bargains for the same money (living in the uk though if they are solely Irish based offers). Haven't done my own build before and don't have time at the moment to go through the learning curve, finding the right tools etc. Might sound lazy but just the way it is at the moment

Primary uses: Software developer so build some websites and desktop apps in spare time, want something that performs well. Also want to get back into gaming, haven't owned a gaming pc in 10 years, love Flight Sim, rfactor racing. Will I be able to play these on decent settings?

Its a good PC. You won't be maxing out games on the 260x but still decent enough. I tried doing up a build and got the SSD in there for the same price.

Not bad for the price actually compared to a lot of other places.

If you build yourself though, you can balance it better - a 4670K and 260X is somewhat of a mismatch for gaming, in a self build you could get a much cheaper but still capable processor and put the excess into a card (or SSD if you don't game much, 260X isn't too bad at all).

As pre-built machines go though that one is pretty OK.

Cheers guys. Trying to keep it in budget so can't get the gfx card I really want but would it make much difference at all to spend an extra £20 to upgrade to a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 TI 2GB card?

The 750ti would be the stronger card.

You can get great value by building yourself, have you considered this option?

It's worth the 19 pounds extra for sure, it's not hugely faster but it is faster.

If you can, get the 120Gb SSD and then swap the second hard drive to a regular 1TB (the default is a hybrid drive in case you hadn't noticed).

Cheers. Upgraded the gfx card and generally pretty happy with the deal. Kept the hybrid drive (only a tenner extra) just need to wait 7 days for delivery :D

Wondering now whether to go for this Iiyama IPS Monitor for £137 http://www.morecomputers.com/extra.aspx?pn=XU2390HS-B1&referer=Froogle1&gclid=COC3s8Lg2LwCFafnwgodtTUAaw

or a pretty standard but well reviewed Acer

I have a hd projector so think i'll be doing most gaming on that, but on occasion will be using it for games. Definitely willing to look at other options
