Green Pens

Seriously, what's the point.

No one in history every has said either of these two phrases:

'Can I have a lend of your green pen?'

'Damn! I'm all out of green ink in my green pen, I may get another one in the messages this week.'

Do they only exist to even up the numbers in those multicoloured pens?

No you can get them singular I must admit, im quite the pen buff I especially like the light blue aqua colour :P Its the simple things lads :O

I had a green pen once. But then it unexpectedly turned brown. Probably should stop scratching my arse with my pen. Or wipe my arse properly. Which ever is easier.

I once used a green biro to write a passive-aggressive note to a housemate when I was a student. Something about it being my milk, and that if wanted to entertain the idea of buying some himself then it would ease our extremely fraught relationship.

When I worked in the Civil Service I was told not to use a green pen (having grabbed the first thing that came to hand to jot a note on a file) as the green was reserved for Auditors making notes.

Other than that it appears that nutters writing long conspiracy addled letters to radio presenters favour green ink.

There are utterly without merit. I mean you couldn't even doodle with them on green copy books back in primary school.

Last teaching course I was at, we were told that it's now considered common practice to correct papers in green pen - apparently red pen is now considered too 'confrontational' and may have a negative impact on the student... I wish I could say I was kidding....

I love green pens and pens in general. I have't had a green one in years.

My life is incomplete without an array of red, black and blue pens. I can live without green pens but I would be happier if I had one. :P

The pharmacists use green pens when they go around checking patients medicine charts in any hospital I've ever worked in. It's just their colour, us lowly nurses had to make do with black.

I used to have this amazing english teacher (best teacher of anything I ever had), a legit educator of people at the school of life.
I'd almost look forward to getting my essays and stuff back to see the massive RED marks and ticks throughout.

Something oddly satisfying about it, he wasn't afraid to mince his words either in front of the whole class, and go through each paragraph individually, but he did it to everybody and we all like liked him and respected him for it.

I loved to hear his critisim, and would want to impress him, which made all of us apply ourselves.

I haven't written much since the leaving cert, mostly scribbled hurried notes. My handwriting is accordingly ****e. In an attempt to improve, I recently bought myself a calligraphy pen, and when choosing a bottle of ink to go with it, thought why not green? I'll stop writing letters to anyone who actually complains about the colour of ink I'm using.

May get a bottle of purple next..

The stationery room in my place of work usually stocks blue, black, green, and red pens, but the rules of our multinational company state that we can only use blue or black pens on any company documents (so why do we have the green and red ones?). Then they say that our stationery budget is gone, so only the essentials shall be re-stocked. All of the blue and black pens are gone now, for some strange reason.

So...I've a huge stash of green (and red) pens if anybody is in the mood for swapping. For this week only, I'll give 1 green and 1 red pen in exchange for each of the ever-elusive black pens which I used to love so much...

I've heard that the term 'green ink brigade' is used for people who write angry letters to newspapers about conspiracy theories or minor things that aren't really worth getting worked up about

Having said that, I like green pens and nobody else in work ever seems to want them

I have a tin of inks for my pens, 4 shades of green at the moment. Lovely colour for making a note IMO.

I like green pens! Or any non-standard coloured pens, right now I have pink, lime green, dark green and purple in the rotation. Had a brown one for a while but that was a step too far really.

I'm not mental though I swear, it's for helping me study.

Red ink for losses, black ink for profits (to be in the red or black) Green for notes?

I used green ink today - I had made notes in blue, my boss had made some changes in red and I wanted to make some further notes so used green.

I worked in a QA role and we always wrote in green, nobody else in organisation was allowed to!

I am like this. I love coloured pens, orange, purple, shimmery ones. My English teacher hated it in school- she began returning my work uncorrected if I didn't use a standard pen colour. She said it gave her headaches!

Had a security manager give out stink to me one day when I worked in Dunnes Stores because I filled out a HACCP report in the only pen I had on me that I brought from home, a green pen.

Apparently they don't come out on the sheet when you fax/photocopy them. Didn't know that at the time.

Incredibly dull depressing place to work!
