Hi - am considering buying a bike that i would use around town and for short trips out around the lakes where i live here in lovely killarney. I am also thinking of doing the 'Ring' this july and that would be my big cycle for the year. I know thats a very broad scope and have been looking at bikes which would tick all boxes. Currently, i am between these 2 bikes giant rapid 4 v lapierre shaper 100
Any advice would be more than welcome. If somebody could point out the difference between these bikes also it would be very helpful

I'd pick Lapierre as frame made from triple butted 7000 series aluminium as opposed to giants single butted 6000 series. Better quality material. Otherwise both almost the same. Pick what you like best.

Girlfriend has the shaper 100 and loves it. I also have 2 lapierre road bikes, carbon and aluminium and can't fault them

If you don't mind me asking how much are getting the Lapierre for? Was looking at the same bike for €599 in LBS.
