vat reclaim- how long?

I submitted a VAT 58 form for the first time a few weeks ago.

Got the invoices returned today, all stamped "Vat repaid", but as yet no sign of any money in the account.

Does the refund normally take a few days?

A week for me last time around anyway.

Was meaning to fill it out myself for gates and stuff, what exactly can you get repaid on?

How old can the receipts be? Got a smallish amount to reclaim, but keep forgetting to put in for it!

Joking aside I got my invoices today as well in the post so lets see who gets the moolah first.

Got the"money will be credited to your account" letter here yesterday

money landed in account on Monday morning and letter on Tuesday, very quick.

I think i'll root through last years invoices and do another:)
