    Hi,

Can anybody recommend a good garage to go to for a service, it flashed up on my dash i am due a service in 1000km.

Obviously reasonably priced garage is a plus and one that has experience with audis, previously i went to a garage that were not in the know about the various warning lights that appear on the audi and they failed to spot a warning for overheating on my old Audi, so i am somewhat paranoid now

Are places like advanced pit stop any good for a service etc - i just seen a deal driving by etc

    Any information appreciated

If you do use an independent make sure they are using proper VW spec oil in the service. I wouldn't trust the likes of Advanced pitstop or any groupon type deal as they are liable to throw any generic cheap 5w30 oil into your car.

    cheers

Always buy service items yourself in general.

Most garages here, including main dealers have very little pride in their work.

Good deals on Irish auto parts, Micksgarage etc for your 5W30 oil, air filter, oil filter, pollen filter, brake pads etc.

Strike a deal with them for labour cost and supply parts yourself would be my advice.
