Things You Do Backwards That Everyone Else Does Forwards....And Vice Versa

When I get up in the morning (it's not morning yet so I am going to bed) I always have my breakfast before I brush my teeth. Everyone I have asked (three people, one of whom has false teeth) say they brush their teeth first thing, then have their breakfast. Who's wrong here I wonder?

What do you do backwards to what everyone else does?

I'm a Colgate man myself, aquafresh always reminds me of a Dutch willy.

Yes, I love steering knobs ;)

I always eat first then brush too, unless my mouth feels grotty (usually after a night out or if I happen to have been to the cinema or had rich food like a Chinese).

I've started to condition my hair before shampooing as I've heard it can be good for the gruaige... The jury is still out.

I also skip straight to the desert menu in a restaurant just for a nosey

sometimes I have my wages spent well before pay day, damn credit card!!!

    That's definitely the correct way!

Read the news paper, I start at the back page (the sport) and read through.
Unless some major event has just happened.

I turn the alarm clock off, then wake about an hour later.

Most people shower in the morning before going out, I always shower at the end of the day, before going to bed.

Do people actually brush their teeth *before* eating breakfast? Really?

    I mean, Really-Really???

It was always puzzling to me in school during Irish or French classes when we had to write a paragraph detailing the morning routine. We always had to say we brushed our teeth before going downstairs. I assumed this was a simplification to avoid having to learn how to say "go back upstairs to brush my teeth, then come back down again".

I didn't think anybody actually did it in real life.

I do it, I hate brushing directly after eating.

That was actually an old victorian thing because people had cheap, imitation China that couldn't handle the heat like real fine bone China.

So, if you'd the cheap cups, you had to put the milk in first to avoid cracking them.

Modern cheap cups don't have that problem, but basically it just means you were brought up with shoddy tableware.

I shower in the evening. I do most of my manly work in the daytime, then my 'people' work at night. To me, it would be weird smelling of roses whilst servicing an engine and then stinking of brake fluid in the service of a lady.

Seems so, people think I'm weird for doing otherwise. Come to think of it, maybe it's something that should be taught in schools?

No I blame school for this as well. I used to brush before breakfast as a kid. I used to fcukin hate cornflakes because of it too :(

Ticks. As in, to tick something. It's cos I is left handed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,341 ✭✭✭czechlin

I prefer to shower in the evening, slap on the lotion and going to bed all nice and clean feeling pampered.

I don't like my breakfast tasting like a toothpaste either but it depends how the mouth feels in the morning. Sometimes I end up brushing before and after.

I tend to read the magazines back to front.

I initially read this as meaning you are left handed because you have a tic. Then I thought some more. Now I understand (I think)...

Just to clarify, my ticks are backwards. They slope upwards from right to left. My Manager in work shakes his head every time he looks at my paperwork!:D

I looked in a mirror once after a 36 hour shift. I thought I was tired, but it was shattered.

Brushing before breakfast is like wiping your arse before having a shít. Crazy.

My neighbour cuts his lawn backwards, its really starting to annoy me, he does it in an anti clockwise direction and after doing the perimeter he goes right to left which is backwards.
