Hi ... I have a standard Sky+ box thats a bit old at this stage (80GB HD and a remote control where half the buttons no longer work). Dont want to buy a new remote if I can avoid it ...

My brother has just cancelled with Sky so has a spare Sky+ HD box ... Is it compatible with my Viewing Card ? Just want it for the increased HD capacity and better remote ... obvisouly I know I wouldn't get the HD channels without a HD Sub ..

    anybody any ideas ?

Yes you can use it with a standard sub but you will have to ring sky and get them to pair the card to it to enable the recording and live pause end of it.
