Hi, anyone have any success with cider kits? If so which kit did you use, I know you can do your own cider by buying apple juice and add yeast, does this compare to a kit or is it totally different, just looking to get a brew going for the "summer". Thanks.

I get the impression the kits are quite heavily sweetened. The Finlandia one I did certainly was. Drinkable, but sweet.

Thanks, have you came across any good way to brew cider that's some way drinkable and not going to rot your teeth out.

You've already mentioned it: juice + yeast. You get even better results if you do it the long way, from apples. With juice and yeast the quandary is how to get some sweetness back in.

Sounds like you could take a kit and add lemon juice to add a bit more bite?
