Greatest soccer kits of all time?

    Hello all,
Putting club loyalties aside for a little bit, I'm just wondering what kits over the years have been your favourite?

For me, as United fan, I've always loved the United home jersey for the Champions League final in 1999.

    737642-manchester-united-v-bayern-munich_zps6d8b856e.jpg

I've always loved Lyon's home kit, regardless of the year.

    The more obscure the better!

Perhaps if we can leave a pic, team name and a year for reference?

Aston Villa's current away jersey. I absolutely love the colours and the squares. Gives it a lovely medieval vibe!

Always liked the Real Madrid centenary kit, the one Zidane was wearing the night of that famous volley in Hampden

Hands down my favourite kit of all time

    Italy 2002 WC kit:

    XB300DQ80ITA901______.jpg

    Plain and simple, lovely fit

Accidentally put my thumb through the back of mine a couple of months ago. Devastated :(

Kappa were making some great kits around that time - Roma, Sampdoria, Brescia

Had the last black nike Valencia jersey with Villa on the back, a thing of beauty, dissappeared on me, mysteriously, I was heart broken.
Man Utd had some lovely black jerseys over the years

That seems to be extremely popular, was over at Loftus Road a couple of weeks ago to a game and saw loads of 'Rs fans wearing it. Lovely.

I think the Japan shirt would be great if it wasn't for the red bit on the collar. Still nice though.

I loved the two after that, the Italia 90 one with the little 'boomerang' pattern. And one with the 3 stripes on the shoulder, more so the white ones as I tend to prefer away jerseys.

My favourite jersey ever is probably the grey Liverpool one for the 89 season.

United also had some good jerseys in the early to mid 90s with the yellow and green one being one of the nicest.

I actually didn't like the Italia '90 one and it was also the first jersey where they really pushed the whole 'Opel' thing on it, preferred the jersey without any sponsor.

Borussia Dotmund's jersey between 2000 and 2002

Or the one, Shels have now, a German car manufacturer on the jersey of the team, which will be back in the PD in October :D

I collected an absolute shedload of Obsure jerseys, and Pat Chaney of the Soccer shop was responsible for starting it off, and the markets around the Bull Ring in Birmingham where we used to go every Easter with the football team.

Have always loved away jerseys more for some reason?

Real Betis away. The nicest jersey I've ever had. Got rid of it in a fit some months ago disgusted at how fat I'd gotten. Have since lost weight:mad::mad::mad:

    Loved that jersey!

liverpool_2013-2014-third.gif Most recent jersey, quality is lovely.

I had a collection of Parma jerseys from 92-2002, the most unusual was this football_shirt_35783_1_375x500x1.jpg

but the nicest was probably this

Not the greatest of all time but I really liked this for Ireland. It was the first jersey I bought in a very long time (probably something to do with emigrating and being a paddy abroad). If only it was available without the sponsor's logo.

It is, it's made by Kappa (I have it)
Don't like the neck on it, you'd need to wear a t-shirt/baselayer under it (like Totti has in picture) cos the neck goes down too low imo
