Volume problem on Philips TV after Sky+HD

    Hi there,

I had old model sky mini box to watch Sky channels connecting it to Philips tv with normal cable.

I used Sky remote to increase the TV volume without any problem.

I got SKY+ HD box and connect it using Scart Cable with TV.
Since SkY+HD box has its own model remote control which didn't work on Philips tv for its volume controle. So I had to tune it to my Philips TV using 084 code by Pressing "tv", Hold down "select" and "red" together for 2 seconds. So I was able to use new sky+hd remote with Philips tv.

It worked fine for three days with volume control as it was before but after that volume of tv has been decreased so much (75% low) than it was before. I even tried to control the volume using tv volume button but it increases to a certain level (25% max) and doesn't go beyond that.

I disconnected Sky+Box and tried free channel through cable but still the volume is lower than before.

I don't have TV original remote so can't control through it.
I even try to connect computer external speaker directly to TV stereo output but still its low volume as source is low in volume. if I try to connect tv with Sky+box with normal rf cable, it won't recognize sky box with tv or in other words it only work with scart cable.

I'm not sure what else I can try.
Any other solution / suggestion would be highly appreciated.

    Regards.

Try removing and reconnecting the scart lead, may be a loose connection. Also if the TV has a HDMI socket use this instead of the scart lead, having HD on a scart lead is going to give you poor picture and sound.
