    Could be.

Does the horn work, are the headlights dim?

It could be battery or starter, if it starts with jumps leads it probably battery , could be alternator to but motor factors can test both if you drive to them. If starters gone and won't start with jumps leads it'll go on a push start.

Chances are its just the battery. Luckily yaris batteries are cheap.
There are different batteries depending on whether your yaris was built in Japan or France. Japanese ones are a little smaller and a little cheaper.

Did you leave the headlights on?

If it drained down because of headlights etc left it might just need a charge.
More often than not its because the battery has worn out.

Doesn't take much to drain the Yaris battery, can attest to that. On the plus side, doesn't take much to give it a jump start. They are fairly bulletproof as cars go.

I don't know, over the winter/spring I jump started maybe 20 cars with the Yaris and accidentally left the lights on and the battery is fine. Pretty sure it's the original from 99 too.

Battery of my yaris went dead in a petrol station after driving it 2 kms to there with no sign of problem.

It worked fine couple of weeks after I jumpstarted it that day. Then I handed it over to a friend and battery died again due to no use for 2 weeks.

I think they drain very quickly due to their small capacity when they are close to their end of life.
