    Not sure we have much to worry about here. Not often we suffer from "sub-freezing temperatures".

    True. However it's only one issue that's being highlighted. Hopefully that policy is not the "modus operandi" for other faults or "issues" as they are referred to.

    I'm a very satisfied Canon customer and indeed, and thankfully; I have never yet had any problems with my equipment.

    There was a warranty replacement on the mirror/shutter mechanism last year. Mine was taken back by Canon, repaired and returned to me within 7 days, with the option of a loan body if needed. It cost me nothing at all.

    Canon service tends to be very good, from my experience. I have had problems, but the repairs have always been good and quick.
