I think that was from last season.

Yeah, you're right, it was last season alright. I'd say she'll make an appearence alright near the end, once brienne goes off on her quest with 'oathkeeper'.

Really looking forward to seeing the mountain face off against oberyn! Remember thinking it was epic in the book so hope it to be even more more so on screen.

Also delighted with the actor portraying oberyn martell. He's pretty much how I pictured his character from the books

Can't believe all of that is happening in one series of a TV show. It's definitely the best bit of the books too. Since then not much else has happened. Maybe it's a feeling of anti climax from the events listed in the poll.

My favourite scene in the books should play out really well on TV. I can't wait, but at the same time, don't want it to happen :(

Stannis & Wildlings / The Wall
As a book reader I reckon The Mountain vs The Red Viper will be beyond epic. But as a tv show fan, Lady Stoneheart popping up will be mind blowing (especially considering most of my friends haven't read the books, I can't wait for their reaction)... Basically I'm looking forward to both scenes but for very different reasons.

I haven't read all the books yet, still got the last two to read (equal parts "Yesssss!" & "What are you guys _talking_ about?") so I know about Lady Stoneheart but not Tywin :O Am re-discovering my taste for the books though, breaktimes at work are gonna be Quiet Time for the next while lol

You've two books to go but didn't know about Tywin? That happens in ASOS book 2. Don't be reading these threads until you've finished them, I found it hard to refrain while reading but it's not worth ruining a shocking moment

Stannis & Wildlings / The Wall
One event I'm looking forward to that isn't mentioned is the last battle between Mance's army and the wall before Stannis intervenes.

I'm presuming this will happens in episode 9 as it's directed by Neil Marshall who also directed the battle of blackwater bay episode. That's still one of the strongest episodes for me and presuming the budget has gone up since then I'm really excited to see that event brought to screen.

I'm trying to add that as a poll option but I can't figure out how - maybe a mod can help?

Yeah I would agree, it must be lined up to be part of a huge season penultimate episode!

Gotta be the crossbow scene, mostly when Tyrion looks in the privy to see if the **** really is gold. The Viper vs The Mountain has already been seen on the ads, the overall fight will be awesome but it has kinda been ruined.

Nice touch on Tyrion puking, very well done piece of art there.

I read recently the budget for each episode is $6m, HBO pushed it to over $8m for the Blackwater Bay episode.

Yes seems to be. Although the viper/mountain scene is episode 8, and I'd presume Tywin/Lysa/Stoneheart will all happen in 10. So the second half of this season should be pretty full on!

Fingers crossed we'll see more than one battle between the wildlings and the wall too. I wonder if Ygritte's death will still happen the first time the wildlings attack the wall or if it'll pushed back to the final battle. It might be overkill if too many characters die in the space of three episodes!

I thought he smelled it, rather than took a look? Isn't there the theory that Oberyn somehow poisoned Tywin and that's why he was on the loo - beginning to feel the poisons effects.

That(The Viper poisoned Tywin) is a theory at the moment, I thought the joke was Tywin was so rich even his **** was golden.

Yeah, there was a widely known joke that Tywin was so rich he sh*t gold. Then we get this from Tyrion:
But the stink that filled the privy gave ample evidence that the oft-repeated jape about his father was just another lie. Lord Tywin Lannister did not, in the end, **** gold.

I don't remember him looking (why would he do that? :P).

Most looking forward to the Flaming Stag at the Wall.

Be interesting to see if post Season 4 if our favourite scenes match the ones we're most anticipating.

That's added now as an option in the poll!

Tyrion / Tywin, but really for the events and dialogue of the surrounding scenes as much as for that scene itself. I expect that if the scenes are true to the books then a lot of people will be angry at a certain character.
I was rooting for Varys to shove Tyrion out a window.

From the book the most shocking one was the lady stone heart one

But the one I'm most looking forward too is the viper vs the mountain.

I agree with every bit of that comment.. Stonehearts appearance will drop a millions jaws worldwide and the duel between Gregor and Oberyn might just go down as the greatest fight scene in television history..
I kinda wish I hadn't read the books first because the immense epicness of the rest of season 4 will live in the minds of millions for a long long time..

I wouldn't be too sure about that. I thought it was cool the way they could bring back the Lord of the Brotherhood from the dead but the Lady Stoneheart one was a bit much. She was dead three days and they basically brought back a mumbling corpse. I imagined her to be something out of Pet Cemetery. Plus she took away the fear of death. I wasn't the slightest bit worried about Jon getting stabbed because I'm full sure that even if he dies, he can just be brought back.

I really didn't like it in the books either. Didn't help that I didn't like her to begin with. Give me zombierobbwithawolfshead before stoneheart any day. :pac:

I've had the Oberyn / Mountain scene slightly spoiled for me, watching a Vice short documentary on the Icelandic strongmen of all things. Sure it'll be great though.

I loved Cat in the books, hate Lady Stoneheart though, so i'm hoping the TV show don't have her so far gone, for more of the real Cat to still be there. Can't wait for the reveal either way, what she'll look like.

I want a scene of Nymeria hunting with her pack this season more than any other.

Am I the only one who absolutely loved the Lady Stoneheart twist?? I liked Cat too, even though she made some pretty stupid mistakes, they were mistakes of the heart not the mind (yep, I quoted Richard Nixon). I know LS herself hasn't done much yet except hang a few Freys but there's two, possibly three books left for her to fúck shít up for those at the RW. Plus it'll be nice to see the surprise on peoples faces when UnCat pops up with Thoros and friends in tow...

I love Lady Stoneheart too, and she was definitely the most shocking part of book 3 for me. I don't see how anyone can hate her at this point either as she really hasn't featured that much. If the final scene of this series is her reveal the internet is going to explode afterwards!

How can anyone like Stoneheart...she hung the poor innocent Podrick!!!

Actually, was thinking about it last night. Are they going to include Jorah's banishment from Dany's side this season? Happens after the sewer mission in Mereen no? 'Looking forward' to his face drop when he gets kicked out!!

Podrick is still alive, Brienne isn't bothered about her own life..she even offers to die if Podrick can live and bring her bones to Tarth. She wouldn't have shouted sword and then went after Jaime if they didn't let Podrick live.

There's nobody with her that knows the truth about Jorah, Barristan wasn't there when they discussed it in S1 and never sat on the SC by his own admission.
