    Hi

Im just about to begin purchasing tvs for the new house.

    Here is what Im after

    TV 1.
This will be for the main living area. Looking for a 40-42 inch LED tv that will have saorview and freeview.
Dont know much about smart tvs but my broadband here is less than 1mb so would it be a waste getting one?

    TV 2. Up to 32inch
This will be for the kitchen. Again it must have saorview and freeview and be

    TV 3.
Bedroom TV 32 inch LED with saorview and freeview.

    Would really appreciate any advice.

    Hi there,

With those Broadband speeds you may not get the full potential of a Smart TV (streaming etc)  You could probably still use some apps and the web browser etc.  Most TVs are all now smart anyway.

For the main living room I'd sugges the Panasonic TXP 42ET60.  This is a fantastic TV, handles both SD and HD pictures very well.  Excellent motion handling too.  It's also a 3D TV so if that takes your fancy then ever better.

For the kitchen TV how about the Toshiba 32 L4353 at £269.95.  It ticks all the boxes, great picture too:

Will the bedroom TV be used much?  One of the nicest 32" screens at the moment is the Panasonic TXL 32E6 at £339.95.  This screen got the best TV under £400.  Can't be beaten on picture quality:

Let me know what you think.

Hi Torment, thanks for the post.

The way that I would view this would be that smart TV's are so relatively inexpensive now that going for a non smart doesn't provide a lot of future proofing and the added resale value down the line if you were ever to move it on.

Not sure where on the scale you want to look but at the affordable end :

    http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/sony/bravia-kdl40r483bbu/sony-kdl40r483bbu

This technically isn't a smart TV but it does have wifi direct which allows some nice features. Priced at £499.95 if you are looking for picture over features then this is an excellent starting point. 100hz scanning and beautifully styled.

    Moving upwards,

This is a 200Hz smart TV with 3D playback. Genuinely, the picture on the Sony is better than this but the extra features in this can be useful.

A particularly nice model which has both smart features and superb image quality for the price is the Sony KDL40W705 which is priced at £599.95.

Let me know if these are around the price mark that you are looking to hit as there are some which are a lot better and more expensive.

Even though, this is just for a kitchen, the TXL32e6 is the best value 32" TV on the market. Stunning picture quality, great styling and packed with features.

If this is too expensive then the LG would save £40 off the Panasonic and is very similar in spec / features.

http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/32lb550u/lg-32lb550u - Not just as good on the picture but a very close second.

I would suggest the http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/samsung/ue32f5000/sams-ue32f5000 for the bedroom TV if you didn't to spend as much on the bedroom model. I have one of these that I can clear at just £229 which was one that a customer opened and wanted bigger. As new with all accessories etc.

Let me know what you make of all of these.
