My dad found a bottle of this in my grandparents old house. We did a bit of googling and it seems like its worth a lot, as in €500 - €600. Is this accurate??

It was stored on its side so the cork hasn't dried out but it looks the label is slightly water damaged or something.

water damage is sorta ok. Was it in the sunlight? If the label looks at all bleached it might be worthless. Sorry. Which vineyard is it? they're not all the same.
Certainly without providence it won't be worth top dollar.

He isn't going to sell it regardless. It wasn't in the sunlight at all. I don't know what vineyard it is but ill get him to tell me.

That's the thing, would anybody pay big bucks for something if it couldn't be proved that it was stored correctly?

Cracking that baby open. It might just be fantastic. If it's not, console yourself with the knowledge that it is extremely unlikely that anyone would have paid serious money for it.
