I am currently editing my CV because I had just finished work experience and now seeking for a summer part time job.
this is what I wrote so far for what my tasks were, but I do not think this highlights all of them:
 Harvey Norman, Ballysimon Rd, Co. Limerick March 9 – March 11
    Position: Customer Service Official
    • Interact with customers who visit the store and provide an excellent customer service experience.
    • Responsible for taking lodgements, recording details and end of day balancing.
    • Deal with customer complaints/issues.

If anyone could look at the work I did and maybe give me some good work place sentences so I can add on my CV.
As I am really struggling at this point.:eek::confused:

This is all the work I did for them:
My first task was to unload all the laptops and place them in display, after that I was told to clean all the all laptops and the display stands.
After I had cleaned everything, I was given a cabinet in which I had to store cases in an accessible fashion. . I had to do many customer dealings; I even sold a laptop on my first day. I advised each customers to which product to buy depending on their needs and financial situations, I also was authorised to give some customers up to a certain amount of discounts on certain products like the desktops.

    Second and Third day:
Lots of work done during the last 2 days. I was given access to the warehouse and office at the back of Harvey Norman. There on my second day, I had to help one of the staff to take down any products that were faulty, returned by customers or found by Harvey Norman themselves. I had to take down the products full details from the serial number to supplier code. I then had to enter that information on the computer to forward to the supplier, and place the products in the box, tape it and make it ready for return to the supplier company. I had to make sure that all products were matching the same supplier so I could separate them box by box. I worked at the back and in the store during the last two days. Again, on my second day once, I was finished with the faulty products I went on to customer dealing. I had to ask any customers that entered the store if I could help them in any sort of way.
On the last day, I had to take stock from the warehouse, label the products with the price tags, and then place them in the store in an appropriate fashion. The manager assigned me to an employee who taught me about product display. He showed me of how there should be no gaps/spaces in the display/racks, because that showed to the consumer lack of stock and appease to the eye. So I moved certain products around so that there would be no spaces also I had to find any products that was mislaid by customers and return them to their appropriate area.
I also did an act of intrapreneurship on my last day.

Hi icrazzy I sympathise with the job hunt, I really do.

Could I add a word of caution. Don't over egg it. HR officers can smell BS from 100 yds.

Make sure you use a spell checker. I once rejected someone who had been a train guard - but couldn't spell it.
