I don't know this or parenting forum is more relevant to this isue.
We have found out that we are expecting twins in october. We also have 5 year old.At the moment i own e39 and loving it.I have it lpg converted,so its cheap motoring with 2.5 engine. But sadly i think it will have to go.
There is no way i will fit 1 booster, and 2 baby seats in the rear.Plus by the looks of it,double buggy wont fit in the boot.
So i am thinking of getting something instead, but cant decide between 7 seater and estate.Maybe jeep too.
All has to be bought on tiny budget of 2000-3000 euro, which i am hoping to get when my e39 sold.
It will be petrol, and leather seats very desirable.Boot space very important.Oh,and the odd time vehicle has to accomodate labrador

i kind of thinking of volvo v70,legacy.Or likes of zafira.Maybe buy cheap jeep like santa fe,or lexus rx300 if i can find decent one and convert to lpg.I am lost all together

could look into one of these, will you give you more choice of car.

personally i would go for an estate of some kind, they are not as heavy as the jeeps/mpvs so in theory are cheaper to run and also they drive like a car not a bus/boat

nice volvo or e39 touring perhaps

Seriously consider a six/seven seater. At least something with an optional third row.

If you have 3 kids and ever want to be part of school/party/playdate runs an estate is no use to you. We've just had #3 and got rid of our Passat estate as once you put (squeezed) our lot in the back, there's room for one more passenger only. And when all the other moms/dads are bringing several other kids about in MPVs/SUVs, you understandably fall out of the quid pro quo loop.

kind of thinking now of v70,saab 95,or legacy estates
