My bike won't start. I did not used it for a couple of weeks. I used the treacles to charge it but nothing happens when I press the start button, not even a sound. The strange thing is I get a nice bright light in the lights and panel as if it actually charged. The battery is 2 years old. I jumped started the bike and it works just fine. I have a Honda CBF 250. Any ideas as to what is wrong with it? Thanks

You're on the button there. Batterys knackered, theres enough juice in it to light a bulb but not to turn the starter motor. Drive it for a bit to see whether it charges properly though, but if its 2 years old and has been lying up, I wouldn't hold out much hope, could be lucky though!

I did ride it but it made no difference. New battery I guess and no more idleness. Thanks for your help.
