Farho vs Dimplex Quantum Debate

I've looked into the claims of the Dimplex Quantum Heating System.
Now i've come across Farho. Totally new to me.

I've also read the opinions of one other Farho customer here on boards.

Between the two, which would be recommended for the average 2 bed apartment which is run on electrics (no gas or oil).

    Many thanks.

AFAIK Farho heaters are not storage heaters and are mostly overhyped marketing spin. The Dimplex is a storage heater so it is essential you are on night rate power.
I am looking for a supplier of the Dimplex Quantum so if you decide to go with this maybe let me know as after a bit of googling I have yet to find an Irish supplier.

I've seen the Dimplex Quantums at House2Home (near the Long Mile Road / Naas Road). Although they weren't plugged in!

Probably wouldn't be a problem just buying the product from them - but i've had two promises of survey work / quotes in the past few months and they haven't bothered getting a quote to me first time and second time they just didn't bother showing up.

I then contacted Pure Renewable Energy (pre.ie) regarding the Quantum Hot Water system. Now they really surprised me.
The product wasn't released a few weeks ago, yet they got me talking to the Dimplex account manager for Ireland directly, who answered my all my questions. Then as soon as they had pricing a few days later they got me a quote in the 3 sizes i requested.

I haven't purchased as yet, as my renovation is delayed a few months, but i will be going with them. Don't care if they're located a million miles from me in New Ross, but i was impressed with their response compared to some of the other building and supply companies out there. It's nice to see someone cares about their business and customers.

BTW, i don't have any connection to any of the above companies.

Edit: I should also say that it's been difficult finding any good and real-world reviews of the Quantum Storage Heaters outside of Dimplexes own videos.
I did read some good reviews on boards.ie of the Farho Heaters though and like the idea of being to switch them on at will.

I have duoheat storage radiators and have been thinking of changing them as i dont like them at all. Looked at the likes of Farho and in the end decided to stick with what i have for another year and see how they work out this winter. If you have a night saver go with the storage heater IMO. I don't think you will save on the likes of Farho.

I have seen the reports about Quantum and would be interested in them as they seem more controllable than the duoheat range. What prices were you quoted on the quantum? I may look at them when i decide to renovate my apt.

I looked into the Farho heaters too, as I liked for the same reasons as you. Very hard to find real statistics for either heater. Only thing is, all electric heaters are apparently 100% efficient with no real difference in efficiency, except the way they deliver heat eg 1kw delivered as a quick blast or a slow steady heat. The farho may be of benefit in this way, but better than a low watt panel heater? its impossible to say without trying out. The only thing for sure is that a storage heater uses lower rate electricity (if you are on night rate). If the storage heater has good insulation and good controls, it should definitely be cheaper to run. The new dimplex are supposed to be good in this respect so I will be going with them to replace my 10 year old storage heaters (which are hard to control and loose too much heat with output switched off).

I am interested in the dimplex quantum heater and was wondering has anyone any information on these / reviews what there like? All i can find on the internet are reviews on the dimplex website which are usually biased.
Great full for any information on this.
    cheers

I never found any independent reviews.
Ended up installing electric underfloor heating along with an insulation layer and then wood flooring above that in the apartment.

Insulated the walls and ripped out the standard wall heaters.

The underfloor heating though still isn't hooked up to the electricity supply!!
The wall & floor insulation has made that big of a difference.

Currently the only thing needed to heat this 2 bed apartment is a small DeLonghi Dragon 3 oil filled heater!

If i switch it out, i will go for the Farho though. It is portable, can be plugged in rather than wired in and for the cost, one can probably try one out first and then sell on if not satisfied.
