Legit Recruitment Company? Request for personal info before meeting

    Hi,

I was wondering if anybody has dealt with Flexsource Solutions? I have been in contact with them and it appears that you have to register online BEFORE you go to their office (so you can sign some form when you pop in to see them). The registration pages asks for both PPS number and bank details although it does say to only fill in the bank details if you're applying for a temporary job, but in the email I'm urged to bring proof of the following:

    PPS Number
    Bank details
    ID (Passport)

And to also bring along my CV, references and my degree and certificates.

And I've been asked for this before I've even met them, before I've even been told the name of the company the job supposedly is with...

I had a look at their FB page and although it was founded in March 2013 there seems to be the same one or two people sharing every post and no comments. Google doesn't give much info about the company at all.

Has anybody dealt with this company before? I'm not comfortable with all the information they're asking for...

But they seem to have been around for a while? My colleague told me she's walked past their office and that she believes they mostly hire people for menial kind of jobs (whatever that means :D). The PPS and bank details fields aren't mandatory fields so I was wondering whether I could just not fill those in and not bring in any proof and everything is still ladidaa :P.

Can I have your bank details too? :)

I certainly wouldn't be giving my bank details to some crowd who has no reason to have them.
If you get a job with them then fair enough but at the moment I don't think they have any reason to have them.

They're part of CPL. Did you not look at their web-site? If I wanted to research a company, I wouldn't use FB.

"Flexsource, part of the CPL Group, is Ireland's leading provider of Industrial and Technical staffing services. We provide Staffing and Managed Service solutions to our clients and provide Temporary and Permanent employment opportunities for our candidate base across the 32 counties of Ireland. Flexsource is recognised as the employer of choice amongst its candidate base for all Industrial and Technical roles."

I did look at their website, but I wanted to see whether anybody had actually dealt with them before since it seemed a bit of an unusual request to HAVE to hand out that kind of personal information before you've even met them. I've dealt with CPL before and didn't have to give any personal information which was not already stated on my CV. I also found it strange I wasn't able to find much mention of them at all online.
