How many chops in a dinner?

Im a firm believer in filling the plate with meat so you cant fit as many spuds on it.
Its one of my rules I use to keep my body looking decent.
Sometimes I have 3 chops with my dinner. I never have less than two.
How many pork chops would you eat in a dinner serving?

I need the protein more than the pig does.

How dare you discriminate against spuds, you monster.

Enough meat on the plate so i could technically rebuild the animal with it.

How about just not having the potatoes if you don't want them
I usually load up on mixed veg and don't have potatoes

Prefer chicken and beef to pork also

    Zero potatoes.
Never have pork but I'd probably eat 4 or 5 if I had them in a dinner.
    Usually 4 chicken breasts.

Thinking the same. Plate doesn't have to be full you know

 Even by AH standards this is banal.

It depends on the size of the chops, for goodness sake!

Not one person gives a chop count. Whats a serving of chhops in your gaf. Alot of people only have 1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,264 ✭✭✭✭jester77

Pork chops are too small, a few Schweinshaxe (can't remember the English word for it) is more like it when it comes to pig.

I'd generally stay away from meat that's grown indoors, for ethical reasons.

My OH said he wasn't that hungry when we went to the chipper last friday but he got
a batter burger and a half pounder meal ... and he put a dint in the portion of nuggets he got too.

He says he loves meat but I need to figure out a way to introduce portion control without him freaking out.

I thought it was bad when he ate two steaks and all the trimmings.... looks like he could be beaten here

Has anyone gone into supermacs and gone "feck the fries and drink- gimme two chickey filleh burgers"

as decadent as the last days of caligulas reign

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,128 ✭✭✭✭Oranage2

A butcher's chop then just one, super market chops then at least two, sure by the time they're cooked they've shriveled to the size of rashers.

I gave this advice to a friend who wont do without a couple of mcdonalds or more a week. Instead of the meals he just had the burger with water. Losing a fewpound a week according to him. I havnt weighed him but I believe him because his cycling uphill speed has improved.

If this is a problem for you accompany chops with some leafy veg.

Oh, it's not a problem for me. I'd only eat one or two pork medallions, rind doesn't interest me. My understanding is that pork is a binding meat, which is why I enquired.

3 hours in the gym lifting heavy things demands heavy appetite. Getting peckish again now actually.

Why wouldn't you eat potatoes? They taste delicious and they're packed full of nutrients.

I can't speak for the original poster but I don't eat potatoes because I heard Kim Kardashian doesn't eat them.
