Need advice on scrapping my car

Hi there, I have a 14 year old supermini that, between faulty window, rear wiper, locks, front wheel bearing and tracking, losing water (but not into the engine) it's beyond economic sense for me to get repaired, I see a few of these 'We'll buy cars for cash' ads on donedeal, buyandsell etc. but the way they are worded I'm a bit wary to be ringing these mobile numbers. Anyone got some advice on what's the best way of moving the car on without being taken for eejit.
    Thanks.

    This too shall pass.

they wil only give you scrap money for it, around 60-100 euros. If your happy with that go for it, if not stick it up for sale for 500 & take the first offer you get for 3 or 400. The cars doesn't sound that bad at all, dont give it away for free ! & if your scrapping it make sure you get an end of life certificate with it, of the scrapper might just sell it on for proffit.
Small cheap cars (even bangers) are actually in high demand these days.

If the buyer can't give you an end of life cert, make sure he fills his details in on the VLC and you post it off.
