Howdy, I've a sony vaio PCG - 81112M Laptop, and a few keys have stopped working, and the space and return key are on the way out, I'm just wondering is there any reliable shops around dublin that can replace the keyboard?I've another one ordered, if I can fit it myself even better but I wouldn't know where to start

    Any help greatly appreciated :)

A quick Google throws up which by the sounds of it should show you how to replace the keyboard

FYI I haven't watched it, only going by the title of the video

I haven't replaced one on vaio as yet even though I have a vaio now.

However, on Dell and Compaq laptops it's been relatively easy enough.

Generally, once you unscrew the keyboard, there is a film type connector that plugs into the motherboard. Just be careful removing this. The plastic slot it plugs into should unclip first before the film connector is pulled out.
