How reliable is the 07:55 train from Maynooth?

    Hi folks,
I'm starting a job in Ballsbridge on Monday. I live near the Clonsilla station. My starting time is 9AM. My place of work is a 4-5 min walk from Landsdowne road station. I intend on taking the 7:30 train from Maynooth. This is the 7:47 train from Clonsilla and DART to get to Landsdowne at 08:35. Just to be sure.

I'm just wondering what people's experiences are with the the 7:55 train from Maynooth (The 8:12 train from Clonsilla). This gets in to Landsdowne, without changing trains, at 8:51... In theory. this leaves me 9 minutes for a 4-5 min walk.

How reliable have ye found this service? Is it reliable? Does it have issues with leaves on the line etc?

It's not a deal breaker taking the earlier train but I was just wondering.

It's fairly reliable all right - rare that any significant delays happen. But I'd say the 8.51 arrival at Landsdown can easily be 8.55 because once you get to Connolly the late running of other trains and general congestion can add a few minutes to the timetable arrival time. If you had to be there by 9am and its a 5 minute walk you could be very tight. If you have a few minutes flexibility around the 9am start it might be worth a look.
