    Hi
Just shelled out about 30 quid on a dud battery on ebay for my Satellite r630.
Checking ebay again there, it does seem that a lot of the batteries there are crap/fake that don't hold charge (judging by the comments in their feedback).

Anyone know where i can get a genuine battery for my machine. Any good sites that specialise in this.
    Thanks

You generally have to search for batteries by part number than by laptop model.

I bought a laptop battery for my Dell Inspiron 1720 in www.tmart.com and am happy with it, although I mostly use it powered, but for €25 or so it was a bargain.

You say you want a "genuine" battery, so the likes of Toshiba will probably charge you through the nose for that.
Last thing I wanted was a "genuine" Dell battery at €70-€80.
