It seems eNet and Airspeed have been sucessful in singing up enough businesses in Claremorris, Co.Mayo to deploy FTTp/b/h.

Speed available are 35Mb, 70Mb, 140Mb & 250Mb. 10Mb seems to be the highest upload at present.

Link to product data sheet http://airspeed.ie/media/PDF/AIRSPEED%20FIBRE_V1(low).pdf

Fair play to them I say, if I were in the Town I would happily pay €256 for a 250Mb connection.

Anyone in Claremorris singed up on here?

Pricing is not too bad at all, next to zero latency uncontented broadband in an area with only dsl......

Massive head room for the future and pricing will come down.

Plenty of businesses can now do things they couldn't have before.

They should have got someone to proofread the front page of their website.

    AirSpeed
Telecom has built a reputation for bringing carrier class
network to areas poorly services by traditional telecoms

I'd pay that much money for fiber in Dublin for my business!

I don't understand why upload is only 10Mb if its FTTP

Those prices seem crazy but then again it is aimed at businesses.

When you consider that they have to run the fibre to the building, it's new infrastructure, it's not a crazy price.

I can only assume they don't want people hosting servers..........

I'm sure you could pay for more up load.

I knew many Korean gamers who would host servers on a second desktop in their home. A standard connection when I lived there was 100/100.

My friend in Netherlands has KPN and his speeds are 90/90 on the lowest package. Apparently it goes up to 500/500! He told me that a big problem over there was people hosting their own servers and making money from them.

My pet hate. So so many ads on the radio do this too with offers of x Megabyte broadband.

Well with such effective convexity and such low TCO, their ROI must be through the roof I say, but they outsource certain inconsequential positions overseas. No wonder they can offer such *great* pricing. Read between the lines, I suspect a massive encroachment made of thin outsourced glass...pssst....just wait till some like kid throws a pebble:D:D
