looking for Fiber optic services information please

    hi there I wonder if you could help me,is there anyway to find out about fiber optic cabinets locations.where and when you can expect a fiber optic service to be available in your locality, phone (voda,eircom) support don't seem to know where this information can be found.any information would be helpful.Thanks

    You can find the map in http://www.eircomwholesale.ie/Our_Network/#nga-map

    Select the third image from the left (Fibre broadband network) and a map will popup. Select area and then search for cabinets. Not much detail, but will let you know the following status:
    • Fibre Services Live
    • Fibre Build Commenced
    • Planned NGA exchange

    The fact that a cabinet is marked as live does not mean everyone around will be able to avail of e-Fibre. Also, this is not fibre to the home, you still get your broadband service via the telephone line.
