Came across this page which tells you what song was at no.1 at various milestone ages of your life. http://games.usvsth3m.com/the-theme-tune-of-your-life/

Seeing as I was born two days after Christmas, I just get all the crappy Christmas no.1's every year. Mr. Blobby was a definite highlight :(

So, what songs were top o' the charts at the various different stages of your life?

You can't beat the 1980s for cool music and catchy Number Ones.

Aaah, another classic Christmas no.1. Knocked John Lennon off the top spot that year.

Kylie Minogue's I Should Be So Lucky was the UK no.1 the day I was born.

If I should be so lucky to chat her up some night I'm gonna use that as an ice-breaker. I'm sure she'd be only too delighted

Jackie Wilson - Reet Petite when I was born. The only other good one was Fatboy Slim - Praise You when I was 12 :)

On my birthday in 1970 Norman Greenbaum was No. 1 with 'Spirit in the Sky'
Love the fact that's it's a spiritual song and not some (imho) awful lurve ballad.
    Pretty uplifting grooveh tune.

When was that? 5 years ago? You surely must be too young for the interwebz?

Donny Osmond, Long haired Lover from Liverpool:(

Foreigner, I wanna know what love is was no 1 on my 12th birthday.

Someone once wrote a song for/about me. That's my secret theme that only I can hear. :)

For the rest of the soundtrack, I don't want the coincide of charts and events; I knew at 13 that I'd follow the outro to The Pixies' No. 13 Baby to hell, if that's where it wanted to go.

Actually Norman Greenbaum was and is a practising Jew and wrote 'Spirit in the Sky' because he saw people on TV singing Christian songs and thought he could give it a lash! Still a good tune though.

    Here's mine:

Edit: Actually, that's the song that was no. 1 the day I was born. 'The Right Stuff' by New Kids On the Block was no. 1 on my 14th birthday. Which is appropriate, as I am an astronaut.

Mamma Mia was number one the day I was born. I like ABBA. It's all downhill from there though and all the songs that were number one on my birthdays were rubbish.

I Think We're Alone Now by Tiffany was number one on my 12th birthday, on my 14th it was Nothing Compares 2 U by Sinead O'Connor, on my 16th it was Goodnight Girl by Wet Wet Wet, on my 18th it was Things Can Only Get Better by D:Ream and on my 21st it was Discotheque by U2. What a load of crappy songs. There was really some terrible music in the charts when I was a teenager.

There's a thingumybob that allows you adjust your age on it. You can see what was number one on the day you were born, then your 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th and 21st birthdays.
