    Hi,

I assume that you will be office based. I suggest on your first day wear something like a black trouser/skirt and smart top/blouse/shirt and polished shoes. Look at what other people in your office are wearing and go from there, some offices can be casual particularly if they do not deal directly with people.

Pennys and Dunnes are good for work clothes, particularly if you do not have big money to invest. Keep an eye out for sales in Marks and Spencer, Dunnes Stores, Next and Zara. They can be good for work basics

Having trouble with shoes? I have a long walk in the evenings to the bus station. So need something comfortable but then nice also to look at and can go with dresses

You can always wear runners or flats and change into shoes in the office.

Yes, that's what most people do, particularly if you have to walk a fair bit, and it means the work shoes last better as well.

I had the same predicament a few years ago! Found Marco Tozzi and S. Oliver shoes were comfy, not too high and looked well with skirts. Haven't seen their current collections but they'd be worth a look.
Also probably a bit of an obvious one but if I have a long walk after work or an interview etc I just bring a pair of flats or trainers in my bag to save the heels :)

Im thinking of going for Brogues or maybe get a nice comfy pair of pumps for the office and then change if I get the pumps.
Do you think some nice brogues?

Brogues as in flat lace ups? But with nice shiny pattern on them?
    Lovely with trousers.

Pumps - as in pair of heels?
Don't go to high. I'd suggest a mid heel.

I think pumps mean high heels.

Can you post a picture of what you mean by the flat shoes?

    Do you mean ballet flats?
