Let's see what price he is now

If someone could set up a free competition for us all on a separate thread that would also be great. Sonnky where art thou? No pressure :)

Bet 365 just priced up Mossey Joe at 11/8.

Activial catches the eye in the juvenile. Skipped chelters and saved for this. Won the Adonis doing handstands.

I'm going to give Calipto another chance. To finish as close as he did considering what happened in the Triumph was a remarkable run and I think Aintree will suit him better. Activial should go close though.

    13/8 Mossey Joe on VC.

6/1 about Activial with Will Hill, I think he'll be much shorter than that.

Yes, wouldn't dare talk you out of backing him. Was unlucky to lose iron/saddle slip but I'm not sure he would have beaten Tiger Roll. Having a fresh horse tomorrow might make the difference and with collateral form lines, I'm happy to back activial ew.

They are a good price to win at home alright! I'll take a score draw.

    Mossey, Mossey, Mossey.

I'm not saying he won't win but Activial has all the hallmarks of a horse who'll be completely over bet tomorrow

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 713 ✭✭✭newuser89

The 4.15 tomoro I really like arnaud with get fox taking 7 pounds off.
I taught he would race at cheltenham but comes here fresh
Beaten by Valdez last time out but that doesn't tell the story
He jumped brilliantly from the front and had them all in trouble only to get tired at the end and Valdez stayed on past him,I expect a huge run tomorow
Valdez ran a very good race in the arkle so that's decent form

Where's rossom with a big Mossey Joe write up? :D

Can anyone tell me what would be the odds in a forecast with the new one to beat ptit zig

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,340 ✭✭✭sting60

On The Bridge 14/1 in the Last he was my big eye catcher at Cheltenham.

No need! If he stays on his feet he wins.

He ****ing deserves to win so, so much tomorrow and I'll be over the moon if he can do it.

First and foremost I hope he comes back safe and sound.

Ok just to let everyone know I've just weighed him down with some of my dough

    I'll apologise again tomorrow

Always been a fan of Mossey and it's just great that he's back on the racetrack but think I'll just watch him rather than back him. Has a few negatives against him, Warne has been there worn the tshirt and has had a more ideal preparation but is undoubtedly not of the same class. Also Waley-Cohen is mustard on the national course. That said I agree if Mossey jumps round adequately he really should be too good.

Anyone fancy Western Warhouse to double up tomorrow? British handicapper was obviously impressed with the overall quality of the Arkle having given him a mark of 161. He's clearly a bit of a psycho as we all saw in the parade ring after his Cheltenham win and when withdrawn at Kempton which would cause concern but is the least exposed and should get this trip well. 11/4 looks fair for an Arkle winner in what was arguably the deepest in terms of quality of the novice chases at the festival.

The Bowl has a habit of throwing up funny results, really wouldn't be surprised to see Houblon go well

Is Dynaste best fresh? Sil Conti looked to run a bit flat last year and hadn't as hard a race as he did in this years Gold Cup

Leaves First Lieutenant of the principals, is the ground gone?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,219 ✭✭✭Goldcupfav

Having a nice e/w punt on Dare Me in the 4.15. Aintree should suit alot better than Cheltenham last time.
Fancy Diakali w/o TNO at 12/5 with 365.
Fox Appeal at 10/1 is interesting considering connections always planned to skip Cheltenham for this race.
Doctor Harper and Jetson in the last look decent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,370 ✭✭✭rossom

I'd be holding fire on bets on Mossey until tomorrow. There will be loads taking him on and I think he'll drift to about 9/4.

To be fair, he's pretty damn skinny at 13/8 and I don't think there has ever been a horse this short over the GN Fences.

His SP will be about the same or shorter, they'll push him out early morning prices.

Should Dynaste have run in the Melling? The 2 Grade 1's he has to his name were weak enough and dear god, you'd struggle to find a weaker one

I suppose its admirable that connections run here but I'm not sure I'd have done the same!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

Had a look at the 5.25 , a lot of second guessing here but Hobbs is mob handed and we all know how adept he his with hurdlers. You could make a case for any his runners tomorrow in this but I'm going to give uncle Jimmy an ew chance @ 25\1. That race he ran in at chelt in Nov has worked out well and is littered with winners, him being one of the next time out off 133. Hit with 7 extra pounds for that and then ran ok at the festival in the race won by his stable mate. This fella has only raced 12 times and while Johnson has sided with another relatively lightly raced 7yr old stablemate return spring (another who finished down field in the pertemps), I just keep getting drawn back to that chet Nov race and I'm going to chance a few euro in the hope that this fella shines brightest tomorrow.

    Without a doubt imo.

I thought it was established by going for and winning the Ryanair he's better over 2 and half. Was shocked in the post race interview when Scudamore started going on about Gold Cups and stepping him back up.

He doesn't stay 3 miles well enough against genuine grade one horses.

As i was hoping PP giving money back if 2nd or 3rd in the first race going to have a decent bet on Actival.

Does anyone think that while Guitar Pete will stay, be in contention, his finishing is weak, as per his last two Cheltenham runs on good? I know he did well at Leopy, on soft and heavy on bigger weights, and Cheltenham is a different beast. Tempted to stay with him. Would rather it rain for him. Worried that Hughes has ran him alot since 2013. Carberry did a decent job on him the last day, and he is in decent form. Views?bar Tiger Roll maybe Leopy flattered him?

Be interested to see what McCoy does with his ride. The horse is expected to do well here on this course.

Disappointed Busty Brown was installed favourite or 2nd fav and now being backed. I backed him antepost for the Coral Cup at 25s or 33s.

Don't think I'll be backing anything that ran at Cheltenham. Maybe a double on First Lieutenant and Busty Brown will do the trick.

The New One will not win today. He is lay material . 2 tough races last time and will be found out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30 Niknac

Irish Saint is just too big a price to be passed up in the outright, place and betting without market

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30 Niknac

Also Mossey is not good value, his purchase price and his odds, actually I predict not one favourite will go in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

The New One will absolutely hack up. There is nothing there to take him on with.

Diakali - good horse but below top class
Rock On Ruby - Already been thrashed by TNO
    Grandouet - Doesn't stay 2m 4f
Ptit Zig - Well beaten by TNO at Cheltenham
Irish Saint - Good handicapper, not grade 1 standard
Grumeti - Well beaten by TNO at Cheltenham

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30 Niknac

I fear a Pridwell moment coming today.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,340 ✭✭✭sting60

Dynaste 13/8 no way.He was rated 13lb above Hidden Cyclone and beat him 2 1/4 L and I believe HC did not stay.My take on the Cheltenham race would be to drop Dynaste to 165 which means imo he has a bit to find today.Would love to take on The New One but there is nothing in the race to do so with.Actival looks a real player in the first with Fox Norton a danger.Tizzard hold the key in the 4.15 with top weight and leaving Sew On Target very well in down the bottom.Already post about On The Bridge for the last.

Has anybody dealt with 888 just looking at their sign up offer on the New One enhanced to 5/2. Can't see any maximum bet seems to good to be true.
