    Hi

Just started trying to look at my food intake in more detail and am looking at my macros by keeping a food record.

As i understand it the main macros are carbs, fats and protein.

I am also taking in 30-35g of fibre a day also. How should this be recorded? Should it essentially be added to the carb intake or is it not relevant (i.e. just look at big three).

    Thanks

You wouldn't add it to your carbohydrate total. It's a form of carbohydrate that's not really digested so you might hear people refer to subtracting it from total carbs but you wouldn't add it to carb intake.

thanks. I have counted it seperately from 'main carb' so dont need to subtract.

Fibre is already subtracted on EU food labels so the carb value is net. It is American labels that it needs subtracting from as they give the total carb count.
