I can't imagine it being an April fools joke. It doesn't sound far fetched enough for people to be embarrassed when they discover they've been fooled.

I'm sorry I read those - what a litany of abuse and misery. The adults in these childrens' lives should have been hung, drawn and quartered and then shot. These two made me cry.
