Any thoughts on how to do this? I am looking for detailed stuff like 'Do you have to stay late every night' 'Is there a considerable amount of pressure'

I have researched company online but there is only some much you can find out this way.

Are you simply taking a chance really when you are joining a company?

Would really like to hear peoples thoughts on this one!

You could try glassdoor.com to see if any employees have left reviews of what it's like to work there.

Are you on LinkedIn and would it be the type of company whose employees are likely to be on LinkedIn? If so, then do some searches and see if you know anyone who works there. Or even someone that works there that knows someone you know. You might then be able to ask someone to ask on your behalf.

Edit - I've moved your thread by the way as it's more of a general question.
