    Hey guys,

Quick question that I'd love some advice on from.

I'm currently working for Company A, but am unhappy in my current role so have been interviewing elsewhere.

I interviewed with Company B a couple of months ago, but the recruitment agency made a mistake and put me in for a position that was for too senior for my experience (i.e. they wanted ~ 10 years experience). The feedback from my interview was very positive, and I was told I'd be considered if any future positions came up (i.e. the one I thought I was interviewing for...)

Last month, I interviewed for Company C, did my second interview, got a call asking for my salary expectations etc. I have a former colleague working there and he has heard they are definitely making an offer - I'm actually expecting it today. (This was all done outside of a recruitment agency - my CV was handed in directly.)

Today, recuritment agency has told me that the proper position is now open in Company B, and asked if I want to apply for it? From talking to the agency, I wouldn't have to interview again.

If both offers were similar, I would probably go with Company C. And if that were the case, I'm wondering should I bother applying for Company B in case I do end up turning them down and burning a bridge for the future?

On the other hand, I won't know if they're offer is better than Company C's unless I apply. It's a pretty niche industry so if Company C didn't work out and I looked to move in the future, Company B would be one of the companies I'd look at...

TL;DR - 1 definite job offer, 1 potential job offer if I apply. Would prefer the definite job if both offers were equal, but tempted not to apply for the potential one in case I turn it down and burn a bridge in the process?

Apply to Company B, you haven't got an offer from Company C yet. You might not be a shoo-in for B, so won't burn bridges if you're not.
