All these Electricity offers are getting confusing - but at least prices are falling a bit. (for now)
The latest deal is €50 cashback from Electric Ireland for new customers - and it looks to be the best deal out there now . Offer expires 30th April.
    Details here http://www.moneyguideireland.com/a-new-electricity-deal-from-electric-ireland.html

Those OneBigSwitch people won't be happy.

Great for new customers but they appear to have scrapped the 20 EUR offer for existing customers.

What is the cheapest deal now? I am very confused with all these different prices. My gas bill is from Bord Gais and electric from Electric Ireland. The gas bill is about €80 and electric € 110.

Want to change and get the best price

    Any help

They don't seem to include these short term promotions and cashback deals (yet) .

This link has a comparison including the OneBigswitch (Cashback) , Energia with a Discount code and the new Electric Ireland cashback deal. http://www.moneyguideireland.com/electricity-prices

degzs (previous post) is already with Electric Ireland so won't get the €50 cashback deal. They would be better off with the OneBigSwitch deal for Elec and Flogas for gas .

Energia seems to do the best deal with the Discount code. Ogham why do think OneBigSwitch is cheaper? Is it €80 cashback after 1 year for their members who sign up for Bord Gais electricity?

Yeah - gas prices going up and the rest will probably all have a similar increase soon after.
Bord Gais don't want any new GAS customers - they want less of a market share so they can become deregulated and set prices without the regulator agreeing them.
Deregulation could happen june/july - so it could mean BG gas prices coming down after that.

The figures are here - http://www.moneyguideireland.com/electricity-and-gas-cheapest-combined-prices.html

If you want less hassle and get everything from the one place then go with Energia using the discount code.
I'ts only a few euro a year more - and you don't have to bother signing up with the OneBigSwitch as well as Flogas.

All the offers end in a few weeks

Last chance to take advantage of this cashback offer today.

Previous post was saying it ended y'day but tried the site today and it says it'll run through to 18/05 (electricireland.ie/switchchange/custOfferTermsConditions.htm)
says I'll save €80 from Bord Gais in a year. Now I'm sure that assumes flat unit prices which is a big assumption but at least you get €50 cash back which isnt bad.
    I'm switching!

Is it the norm now for the these provider to ask for a security deposit. Seems that they all want €200-€300 deposit sure €300 would be almost 50% of my annual bill.

I didn't think they looked for a deposit if you sign up for direct debit
