Internet Radio - which one?

I'm on the lookout for a decent looking internet radio for the kitchen, budget is about €100, most of which is O4A Vouchers.

    Is that budget too restrictive?

I don't really know what DAB is, but are the BBC Stations available on DAB in Ireland?

Alternatively, something that you can connect an Android phone to would be an option, I have the TuneIn Radio App on that, so no bother hooking up an Aux Cable even.

This model is the last one I looked at and bought for a family friend. I've a Roberts that I've used for almost 5 years now with no issues.

I've not seen one for under €100, but I've not researched any in a while.

A few previous threads that might interest you.

As for DAB, again I'm not sure - this might be pretty limited at the moment. There used to be a coverage map somewhere. This might be old.

Looked at the Pure one alright, seems to be the one to go for, was hoping for something a bit better looking though.

I have a Logik IR100, just looking at that thread I must have it about 5 years now, still going strong.

The Pure one might be a bit fiddly in that it doesn't have buttons you can assign presets to. That may not be a downside for everyone, as you simply change stations through the dial and menu. You can set up your favourites through an online portal, iirc, it syncs with the device. Roberts have a similar set up.

    It's a pity they're still a bit pricey!

I think I'll be better off going for a decent looking "normal" radio with an Aux connection.

I want one with a digital tuner though, because the house is situated in a bit of a black hole for signals, and even if a manual dial tuner is just slightly off it has all kinds of static and interference.

    Bumping this

Can anyone recommend a good, retro looking radio, with Aux input?

This might be a little outside of your price range - but I just bought this and I'm really happy with it. Sound is great, easy to use display. The reviews on Amazon will give you a good idea.

The one I got the box was already opened so worked out about €150.

Does that have Aux in, or just iPod docking?

    I don't have an iPod/iPhone

Yep - Aux in at the back!
