    Hi

I bought a second hand skybox
    Amstrad Dex 890-c

The hard drive and cables were missing.
I have it rigged up with PC data data cable and been powered from a PC. Working perfectly

I have/made a cable Sata to ide. See photo.
When I have the power cable plugged in the amber light comes and that's all. Basically the box isn't booting up

Have I the wrong configuration or any suggestions to where I can get suitable cable.

    Thanks

Swap the red and the black that's next to it around on the molex looking end and I think it will work.
The factory standard one goes Yellow, Black, Red, Black the same as the sata end.

Worst case scenario you put +5v in the ground but you might be doing that at the moment anyway.

I believe they printed the PCB like this because there using sata but decided to use a molex looking one for cheapness.
