    From Athletics weekly:
    http://www.athleticsweekly.com/featured/david-rudisha-reported-announced-retirement-1926/

'The April Fools’ joke idea later appeared to be a likely explanation, with Simon Hart of the Daily Telegraph tweeting: “Just spoken to David Rudisha’s coach, Brother Colm O’Connell. Story about Rudisha quitting athletics is nonsense. Just an April Fool’s joke.”

Just breaking- Rudisha hanging up his spikes at 25. Actually devastated- his performance at the London Olympics was IMO the greatest run in history. Athletics is a poorer sport without him in it. Not sure we'll see his like again.
