This may be a bit out of my league posting in the motorbike section as i'm talking about an UGO electric scooter!! just bought one second-hand and i love it and would like to travel a little further on it, hence needing a charge for the return commute. I was wondering does anyone know of any points in dublin/ashbourne where i can charge it up? Its just a simple 3 pin plug so no specialist socket needed. I think it would be great if petrol stations could offer this service for a charge. sadly charging in work is not an option.

    any suggestions?
    many thanks

Can't see any 3 pin chargers on this site. Can you get an adapter to use the standard chargers?

65km claimed, less than most people's commute. Only problem is it's a moped, 45km/h will be fun in traffic:( and I doubt you'd get 20km as the bike will be on full power at all times

must check if there is a charger/adapter i can get....that would be great! 65km is claimed but that would be if you are a twiggy 50kg person and you're driving on a pancake flat road. I woudn't chance more than 50km with 45 being safe.

If you check the range of electric motocross or enduro bikes you'll see that they have a full power range, usually less than 30 min, and a reduced power range, usually over an hour to 90 min. You'll be riding at full power, its restricted to 45km/h, most of the time so your range will be severely reduced. I wouldn't risk 30km

Seen a few of these around Dublin and not one was legal.

Bike and rider needs bike licence (AM, A1, A2 or A), IBT, approved motorcycle helmet, number plate, motor tax, insurance, just like any other motorcycle. You may well know all this already or you may have bought it off some chancer who told you it was like a bicycle without the pedalling, or you are covered on a car licence.

http://www.gumtree.ie/cp-motorbikes-scooters-in-kildare/ugo-electric-scooter-568941909 'no tax no insurance'

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.
