Hi I'm just wondering can anyone who knows about cars recommend a diesel car with 3 full back seats or we are also looking for a 7 seater as an option but would prefer nothing more than a 1.6 engine as the tax is mad on anything more!!! We have about 5-6.5k to spend!
    Thank you in advance.

You are really limiting yourself with 1.6 or smaller. Citroen Picasso is probably the only thing that comes to mind.

There's not that big a difference in tax between a 1.6 and a 1.9 when you work it out over the course of a year

Qashqai has a 7 seater and a 1.5 engine, but you would not get one for 6k

If you went for 08 cars the difference in tax may not exist between engine sizes. Not many 08 diesel cars for less than 6k though

Toyota corolla verso had a 1.6. Bit of a drinking problem though. 2.0 diesel is the one to go for.

Edit: never mind - 1.6 was petrol.

The Quahqui +2 is really a 6.5 seater. I don't believe you can get three full size seats across the back.

You will not buy a Qashqai for €6k/6.5k anyway.
