Thanks. Just spotted that. Got my best man on it.

No more info there though that isn't in the links in the OP and poster.

    Thanks for the heads-up though.

This might be a stupid question lads but is there a bit of grub or aid station anywhere along the way?

Thanks colm18. Hopefully the weather is ok for it. This will be my first 'big spin' really looking forward to it.

What a hard hard spin. Knew 5km in that my legs weren't there today and boy did I suffer. Met another boardie during my suffering but can't remember his name.

    Hey Wireless,

That was me, good to meet a fellow boardsie. My lurking days are over now that I have my road bike!!

Fair play to you for getting through that spin especially after being ill during the week.

The weather was awful leaving Arklow with stinging rain and someone forgot to switch off the wind machine!

Was worth it though as the cycle into Arklow was in glorious sunshine that was almost Irish Summer like :-)

Thanks to the organisers, well run and really enjoyed it. Had heard people mentioning Shay Elliot and finally got to do it. Great scenery (when I wiped the rain off my glasses). Definitely be on the calendar for 2015.

This event is always my season opener, love it , have to say this year was the hardest weather wise heavy rain headwinds and too much faffing in car park before roll out meant myself and a team mate spent almost an hour chasing on before we latched onto the back markers. Once we settled down it was business as usual nice enough pace throughout, low numbers due to weather meant that there were not to many groups on the road but all were moving at a fair oul clip. The old favorites Slieve Mann, Shay Elliott are still there in all their glory a pleasure to ride as usual quick stop was had between the two at Glenmalure lodge and then it was homeward bound. There is one road I hate with a passion in Wicklow and thats the road to Rathdrum after you drop down off the Shay, however after today I have added another to the list and thats the road into Aughrim from Rathnew it was painfully long with bad surface and a block headwind, not in a hurry back onto that byway Im tellin ya. Tipped along nicely into Woodenbridge and then the right onto that bleedin drag that goes on forever and ever up to the back of Arklow, Im sure that road has been increased in length since the last time Id ridden it, anyway we pushed on turned left at the top and then ''ah jaysus'' was heard, it goes up again, but not for long thankfully and sure then it was all downhill from there and we finally rolled back to Rocks GAA Club in glorious sunshine well pleased with the days events.
Fair dues to SERC for another great event pity about the low numbers due to the weather but I reckon anyone who did it was glad they did make the effort to support this great event despite the weather early on .

Thanks again ,See you next Year .
