    I usually book my own online, but I have used lowcostholidays.ie for package deals and got good prices and also travelcounsellors.ie for trips that were a bit more complicated/specialised.

    Yea was thinking of doing it myself this year too.go hop seem to have good deals too.have never used them before tho

    Completely depends on where you want to go, how much money you want to spend and what kind of trip you want. Two weeks in the sun, city breaks in major cities or even longer trips to a single place do not need agents IMO.

    I've only ever used agents for booking multi destination trips in countries where English isn't widely spoken, usually in Asia. Can't really justify paying more for trips that are easily booked without an agent.
