Howdy, as title suggests I want something cheap, reliable, penny-farthing mountable/detachable, decent battery, have had too many tumbles.

Previous threads suggest SJ1000/SJ2000 from China €50 give or take.

This the one to go with or any other suggestions?

I know this thread is a week old, but just to help..

I have a SJ1000 and I love it. Top class peice of kit and the quality of the videos it spits out are amazing. I dont have any footage with me at the moment to upload but if you search YT you'll find loads, and the examples on their are real to life.

The only annoying thing is it doesn't come with a handle bar mount that is just right, its far too tall. But you can buy this one(which I just did) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sport-Camera-Aluminum-brackets-for-SJ1000-AT81-AT90-F9-helmet-car-cam-head-mount-/131058590799?pt=UK_Photography_Straps_Hand_Grips&hash=item1e83b3644f and it will do the job (the mount that comes with the cam needs to click into another mount to make fit altogether, which leaves the cam about 150mm off the bars, this one will keep it a bit lower)

If you have the money, the Rideye looks great with battery times of 10hours+.

I did a review of the SJ1000 here.

It's a great camera for its price so I decided I'd review it :)

    Thanks!

Ended up being a lot longer than I had originally planned but if it helps people decide then I don't mind :)

I'd spend a little extra on the SJ4000, delivered with 2 extra batteries for just under €75.

Review and buying links here: http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2014/2/3/the-sj4000-action-camera-review.html

I bought one for my motorbike helmet, would definitely recommend it. It has the added advantage of being a gopro clone which means in terms of mounts and accessories your options are endless.
