So I wanted "the blazer" - the one i can wear with everything…

So I bought a black on in Zara - loved it but then felt it was a little too formal..

I them tried on a navy one - the colour is better on me i think - the shape is a tiny bit less formal.. but it has gold buttons…

I cannot justify having both - while the black one is a lovely cut, i do not think I will wear it much,…

Oh what to do.. maybe neither are right..

What kind of blazer should i have in my wardrobe?

You could always change the buttons on the navy blazer! I have a navy trench coat with black buttons and it goes quite well.

Black can be harsh if you're fair, navy can be lovely and warm. Goes well with blue and black jeans too.

yeah thanks - the black is defo too harsh on me - would be lovely as a blazer of a suit…
era the gold does not bother me too much - think i will go for the navy

Oh sorry I thought when you said "but it has gold buttons" you meant that as a negative!

If you don't have a basic solid look or style of wardrobe already then their is no "one" blazer that is going to do it all. You really need to have a certain style before you can do the one piece that goes with everything you already own.

no i have lots of nice jeans and vest tops - and nice shoes - and bags - a nice blazer would be the job - but not too formal.. one you would wear to the pub or a dinner with the girls as oppose to a night out on the town.
