How to pressurise my system

    Hi,

I've been having to bleed my upstairs radiators quite a bit recently and when the system is cold the pressure gauge reads close to zero.

The heating system is new (4 months old). It's a Veismann Vitoden 100 combi boiler zoned to upstairs and downstairs.

From what I have read, I might need to top the system and I wanted to check how to do this on my setup. I know that I need to add water from the rising main to the heating system but I'm unsure where the filling loop is on the system as there look to be two possible loops on the attached images.

I'm fairly sure it's located in the top right where the two black valves are but just wanted to double check?

Yes, but keep an eye on it, as if your pressure is dropping you have a leak, and that will destroy your appliance and entire system given a little time. If it is dropping, have your installer back and ask for the system to be pressure tested, and trace and repair the leak

    Thanks,

I think the pressure was low because I had a radiator leak shortly after the system was installed.

I was able to use the filling loop to pressurize to 1 bar and bleed out all the air. I'll monitor pressure over the next few months.
