    HI

I'm thinking of buying footwear from an American site as I cant find the shoes locally. They're 100 US Dollars and shipping is 50 US dollars, does anyone know how much tax/duties I would have to pay on them?

    Thanks

I've bought electrical items from the US and got charged 23% vat off the revenue here other times the item got to me no bother/no custom charges. It all depends on if the item is intercepted.

dont forget that american shoe sizes are different from europe, and not very consistent from manufacturer to manufacturer. What shoes are you looking for.?

How much did you spend on the items? I just found this site. According to them I pay 25 Euro VAT but theres no duty. Im not sure what I would have to pay still

Theyre Nike SBs ironically :D. So I think converting sizes shouldnt be an issue.

My item cost about 44 euro on an american website and I had to pay about 12-16 euro when it arrived in the post. This included the custom bcharges and an an post charge. I think the customs charged me about 11 euro and an post charged me 4 or 5. The custom charges is about 23% of the cost and the an post charge is standard.
I know people who ordered the same item and customs never picked up on it.
