I joined a discussion here and got the following recommendation
    yawhat! wrote: »
    Item|Price
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SB-Version Englisch|€88.47
    Super Flower Amazon 80Plus Bronze Netzteil - 450 Watt|€46.00
Samsung SSD 840 EVO Basic 120GB SATA 6Gb/s|€69.99
Cooler Master Elite 310 silver, ohne Netzteil|€33.59
    ASRock H81M-HDS, Sockel 1150, mATX|€42.19
    8GB-Kit G.Skill PC3-10667U CL9-9-9-24|€63.43
    Intel Core i3-4130 Box, LGA1150|€95.84
    Rechner - Zusammenbau|€29.99
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€488.49

Since then I have found my own copy of Windows 7. The old PC is being scrapped but I hope to use a recently fitted Bequiet L7-430 instead of the PSU on the list above and the DVD drive.

I have no experience. The I/O connectors on the recommended case doesnt seem to match the number of USB ports on the motherboard?

With savings above, I can spend a bit more if anyone thinks it would be worthwhile.

The front I/O connectors connect to a USB header on the motherboard which in turn will make them function. You will have 6 USB ports on the motherboard and 2 at the front of the case then.

The case doesnt seem to be available now. Could you recommend an alternative please?

I really don't know what features to look out for.
-Office can be a bit dusty.
-I know some cases vibrate a bit. I definitely wouldnt want that.
-Old case is 175 x 410 x 350 and fits in ok, but if it needs to be a bit bigger that's okay too.
-Loud luminous colours are a no no. Black is good
-A bit of expandability if I needed to add a second hard disk, or graphics card later on.

I would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks

Whats your budget for the case?

I see the top seller is mid fifties so I don't mind spending the same if I'm getting worthwhile improvements over the €33.59 one in the first spec.

    Thnx

I've the cheaper version of this which is out of stock, great budget cases.. plenty of space and easy to use, top facing ports are great if the PC is gonna be under the desk..

I am flummoxed. I am happy to order, but really dont know what I'm looking for case wise.
    -Hundreds to choose from.
-Some cases seem to have a lot of fan openings - presumably for gaming etc which I don't need.
-Different sizes, numbers of bays slots etc. has me all confused

Would prefer not to have openings on top - couldn't stuff fall in and more dust too? The case is placed on a stand beside the office desk.

Matt / Brushed look as opposed to shiny. Won't rattle / vibrate like Dells. I will be fitting a DVD drive in front. If I need to order a case fan please let me know.

I'd appreciate your specific suggestions and maybe why so I'd be more confident then for the next time.

    Thanks

The carbide 200r is a good 50 euro case. (48 euro using discount site) Good solid make, easy for building with. As far as 50 euro cases go you will see a lot of positive reviews on this one.
